On DJ Ayes Cold's dance floor, you're being watched

DJ Ayes Cold has created a unique presence in the DC music scene, performing at major venues like U Street Music Hall, the 930 Club, Rock and Roll Hotel, Merriweather Post Pavilion, Eighteenth Street Lounge, and more.

Considering herself a "genre-nonconforming" club and bass music DJ, from footwork and grime to dancehall house and hip hop, Ayes builds her reputation around her eclectic selections, her mixes that seamlessly blend varying tempos and genres, and her intuitive ability to read and respond to a crowd. As noted by the Washington Post, "her eyes are as sharp as her ears."

Ayes Cold has backed rising artists like Princess Nokia, performed at parties in Boston (The Wave), New York (The Arena BK, Black Weirdo, Basement Bhangra), Atlanta (Bae), performed live on ABC7, and DJ'd at festivals like Bonnaroo, Trillectro, Broccoli City and SXSW.  Ayes has also opened for Goldlink, Shabazz Palaces, Gaslamp Killer and Tokimonsta, and shared line ups with the likes of Venus X, Mike Q, Vjuan Allure, Willy Joy, Dave Nada, Madame Gandhi, Solange Knowles, Anderson Paak, Chance the Rapper and D.R.A.M.

Catch her as she launches her podcast 'Local Support' on Full Service Radio at The Line Hotel (DC) this winter.
