DJ Ayes Cold (aka ‘Ayesha’) builds her reputation around her eclectic selections, her mixes that seamlessly blend disparate genres, her love for global polyrhythmic grooves and her intuitive ability to read and respond to the dance floor. As noted by the Washington Post in 2017, "her eyes are as sharp as her ears."

Ayesha taught herself how to DJ in her bedroom in 2013, and in 2015 started DJing professionally. Over the years, her versatility has led her to back rising artists like Princess Nokia and Madame Gandhi,  perform at parties in Boston, New York, Atlanta Austin; DJ at festivals like Bonnaroo, SXSW, Celebrate Brooklyn, Central Park Summer Stage, DC's Sweet Green Blockparty and Trillectro ; support Goldlink, Soulection Radio Tour, Shabazz Palaces, Gaslamp Killer and Tokimonsta; and soundtrack shows with diverse talent like Blood Orange, Venus X, Mike Q, and Solange Knowles. Ayesha has also built up a steady private client base DJing for organizations like Live Nation, Apple, The Smithsonian, Planned Parenthood, Urban Outfitters, Netflix, Doc Martens, Etsy and more…

Formerly a resident at the Line Hotel (DC)  (Full Service Radio) and booker at U Street Music Hall, Ayesha recently relocated to NYC to focus on making music. During the day she manages label relations at Splice.com .
