DJ Ayes Cold is one of DC's most notorious selectors right now. 3 years into the craft, she has steadily created a unique presence in the District's music scene, performing at major venues like U Street Music Hall, the 930 Club, Rock and Roll Hotel, Merriweather Post Pavilion, and Eighteenth Street Lounge, and more.
Ayes Cold builds her reputation around her eclectic selections, her mixes that seamlessly blend varying genres, and her intuitive ability to read and respond to a crowd. As noted by the Washington Post, "her eyes are as sharp as her ears."
Ayes Cold has DJ'd live on ABC7, performed at festivals like Trillectro, Broccoli City, The National Cannabis Festival, the Fields Festival, and SXSW. At SXSW she hopped on 2 official showcases with her drummer friend Madame Gandhi and together they subsequently toured the east coast, hitting The Bowery Ballroom (NYC), The Sinclair (Cambridge), The Ardmore (Philly) and The Hamilton (DC). Ayes has also opened for Gaslamp Killer, Tokimonsta, Princess Nokia, and supported line ups with Solange Knowles, Anderson Paak, Chance the Rapper and D.R.A.M.
Catch her spinning first Saturdays at Rock and Roll Hotel, every Thursday night at Tropicalia, and on Full Service Radio at The Line Hotel (DC) this summer. In June you can also find her at Bonnaroo's Christmas Barn.
