DJ Ayes Cold builds her reputation around her eclectic selections, her mixes that seamlessly blend disparate genres, her love for global polyrhythmic grooves, and her intuitive ability to read and respond to the dance floor. As noted by Chris Richards of the Washington Post, "her eyes are as sharp as her ears."

Ayes Cold -- also known as Ayesha -- taught herself to mix tracks in her bedroom in 2013, and in 2015 started DJing professionally, spinning everything from Footwork and Dancehall to Hip Hop. Over the years, her versatility has led her to back rising women artists like Princess Nokia and Madame Gandhi,  perform at parties in Boston, New York, Atlanta Austin; DJ at festivals like Bonnaroo, SXSW, Celebrate Brooklyn, Central Park Summer Stage, DC's Sweet Green Blockparty and Trillectro ; and support diverse lineups featuring the likes of Goldlink, Soulection, Shabazz Palaces, Gaslamp Killer and Tokimonsta, Blood Orange, Kingdom, Venus X, Mike Q, and Solange Knowles.

In 2019 Ayesha relocated to Brooklyn to focus on creating her own brand of universal body-moving music, or in her own words: "diasporic riddims." During the day she works closely with labels Splice. Catch her as a resident DJ on Halfmoon Radio first and third Mondays of every month.
